| Remove Non-Read Messages on Welcome Screen |

In case you want to remove the non-read messages on the welcome screen of Windows XP , follow this steps: 1. Go to Start, Run and type regedit. Ok. 2. Find the key HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\windows\CurrentVersion\Unreadmail 3. You will see all the created mailboxes. On the right pane of the screen, select one of them and modify the value DWORD MessageCount to 0. Next time you reboot the system you won´t see any more messages on the welcome screen.
