Boot Defragmentation | Enable defragmentation to improve the boot process

A good way to get a faster response in the boot process is to make a boot defragmentation in order to place the boot files close to each other. This makes the hard drives find faster the files and improve the boot process.

To make this happen, follow this steps:

1. Go to Start, Run and type regedit. Ok.

2. Find the key HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Dfrg\BootOptimizeFunction

3. Right-click on Enable from the list on the right and select Modify.

4. Change the value to Y to enable or N to disable it.

5. Reboot the computer to apply changes and see the differences.
