| System Properties Logo | Customize the Sytem Properties Logo in Windows XP |
|
The System Properties logo in Windows XP is usually changed by computer manufacturers. Hardware vendors use the general system information dialog to brand the computer with their own logo and support information. If you want to change the logo and insert your own one, follow this steps: 1. Open the System Properties ( Winkey + Pause) or (Right-click on Mi Pc and select in Properties).
This shows a HP logo…. 2. Create a .bmp image with the same grey background (RGB: 192, 192, 192) used in the Properties box. Save it in 180 (wide) x 120 (high) pixels to fit it perfectly in the dialog box. 3. Once you have created the logo and saved it as a .bmp file, copy it in to c:/windows/system32/ and rename it to oemlogo.bmp. 4. If you also want to add your contact information, create a new file in the same folder (c:/windows/system32/) named oeminfo.ini. In this file you can enter your contact information like the example below: [General]
From now on, everytime the system properties is opened, the new Windows System Properties logo will appear.
