Convert FAT32 to NTFS

To convert a FAT32 partition to NTFS, follow these steps:

1. Go to Start, Programs and click Command Prompt (Or go to Start, Run and type cmd).

2. Once in command prompt type CONVERT [driveletter]: /FS:NTFS (Example: CONVERT C: /FS:NTFS)

3. Restart Windows to apply the changes.

Note: Although the chances of data corruption during the conversion from FAT32 to NTFS is always good to make a backup of the important data before typing the CONVERSION command. Just copy and paste the data in another drive (local or external) or use one of our utilities.
