To change Windows XP Product Key: 1. Go to Start, Run and write regedit. Ok. 2. Find the key (or use the find function) HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Software\Microsoft\WindowsNT\CurrentVersion\WPAEvents 3. Double-click in oobetimer, erase the CA value and close regedit. 4. Go to Start, Run and write %systemroot%\system32\oobe\msoobe.exe /a 5. A screen with Windows XP activation will appear. Select Activation by phone, click Change the product key and write the new one. Update. 6. Execute once more %systemroot%\system32\oobe\msoobe.exe /a The new Windows XP product key is now activated.
