Having a good amount of memory RAM let us work with different programs at the same time without problems. Windows XP always uses the Kernel to send and receive files of the paging file of the hard drive, what causes a slower response to access the programs. By following this steps (if you have at least 1GB RAM), your Windows will skip paging the hard drive and improve the system performance. 1. Go to Start, Run and write regedit. Ok. 2. Search the key HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE/SYSTEM/CurrentControlSet/Control/Session Manager/MemoryManagement 3. Double-click the entry DisablePagingExecutive. Change the value 0 to 1 and restart the system. With this modification you will achieve a faster access to the programs as Windows XP will use less the hard drive. ( 1 Vote ) |
