Disable Automatic Defragmentation

Windows Vista is configured by default to defragment the hard drive automatically, but is this necessary? You can do it manually every week.

To disable it:

1. Click on the Start menu and then on computer (or Winkey + E).

2. Right-click on C: and select properties.

3. On the Tools tab, select "Run on a schedule"
